The Thetsümi village under Phek district today celebrated the “Rural Development Success Year of Thetsümi Village 2024” at Thetsümi village.
Addressing the gathering, Kevisa Kense, Commissioner & Secretary for Rural Development, Nagaland maintained that there is a paradigm shift with many things being fully digital requiring an educated person to hold the position of VDB Secretary and Village leadership.
He said that the village leader should be a person who has integrity, honest and have concern for the upliftment of the village.
Commending the good works of Thetsümi village, Kense also announced to give a grant for Panchayat Bhawan, extension and upgradation of the community hall and piggery farming for the village.
He also advised the villagers to have insurance for their livestock in order to get insured for any eventuality.
Mesevekha Doulo, secretary Village Development Board (VDB) Thetsümi said “Today is a proud day for Thetsümi village as we celebrate Rural Development success years, fulfilling the desire of the people through various developmental Schemes undertaken by the department of Rural Development Government of Nagaland.”
On the occasion, Kense inaugurated the View Tower, Main Water Reservoir Tank and Footsteps at Thetsümi.
Various other projects were inaugurated virtually by Vihesanuo Solo, Project Director, DRDA Phek Nagaland for Agri Link Road, Keviseyieno Sale, Block Development Officer (BDO) RD Block Chizami Nagaland for Guest House cum Office Building; Veduzo Sasu, Rural Development Officer (RDO) of Rural Development Department Nagaland-Hanging Bridge; Vizonuo Pienyü, RDO Rural Development Department Nagaland inaugurated the Women Building and Angam P Longho, Former BDO Chizami Nagaland virtually inaugurated the (Horti-Plantation) One Family One Project.
K Inazhe Phuleshe, Director, Rural Development, released the magazine of Rural Development Success Year of Thetsümi Village 2024. The programme was led by Kevese Lasuh while welcome address was delivered by Vetshe Tsuzuh, chairman Thetsümi Village Council.
