Kohima, November 13 (MExN): The Thihuto SHG Lemon Grass Distillation unit at Thenyizu sponsored by the department of Land Resources Development was inaugurated on November 9 last with Neise Mich, Director, Land Resources Development as the chief guest.
In his speech, Mich encouraged the farmers to give their sincerity to the use of resources at maximum for development. Puvil Kikhi, DPO Phek highlighted the feasibility of the ongoing project while Medoselhou Keretsu, Registrar, LRD encouraged the farmers to be faithful to the project work.
Short speeches were also delivered by Vethinu, VCC, Vecupra, president, Chokri Area Public Organization, Thepuzhoyi, Chairman Watershed Committee who proudly declared that the said department was the forerunner and eye-opener amongst the many projects being implemented and hoped for timely self-reliant economy. The programme was chaired by Vezosa Kezo, chairman, Thihuto SHG while invocation prayer was pronounced by Sulupoi, pastor TCC.
Meanwhile, the Thihuto SHG Thenyizu expressed gratitude to the department, various leaders of different organizations and all the well wishers towards the project.
