Altogether 350 residents of Thilixu village availed the free medical camp conducted by Mobile Medical Unit under CMO Dimapur, held at the village council hall premises on Thursday.
A team of 11 doctors, including Dr. Kiyekhu Assumi, MO and in-charge MMU Dimapur; deputy CMO Dimapur, Dr. Antoly Swuu; Dr. Khelito (TB); Dr. Kheshika Yeptho (Obstetrics); Dr. Kheholi (Malaria); Dr. Akaholi (AYUSH); Dr. Hinoto (Dental); Dr. Toboli, MO; Dr. Caroline, MO; Dr. Asheto, SMO and Dr. Kaketo (Dental), treated patients suffering from various ailments.
Dr. Kiyekhu Assumi, in-charge MMU Dimapur, informed the Morung Express that the main objective of the medical camp was to reach to the unreached. On conducting the health camp at Thilixu village, he said though Thilixu is a big village with 4,500 plus population, yet the village has only a sub-centre to cater to the health needs of its residents. Dr. Kiyekhu also informed that MMU Dimapur had earlier this year conducted similar free medical camps in villages including Aoyimti, Ekranipathar, Murise, Huzukhe and Zutovi.
Besides general and other treatments, he said the medical camp will also focus on ‘de-worming’ of the entire populace.
All the doctors present in the medical camp are also residents of Thilixu Village.
