BJP 41 Tizit A/C appeals to book ‘mastermind’
Mon, March 10 (MExN): Three persons have been arrested in connection to the bomb blast that occurred at polling station no. 20 under Tizit Assembly Constituency on February 27.
A press statement from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit of 41 Tizit A/C today informed that the three were arrested upon a complaint lodged by the unit.
While condemning the blast which injured one elderly person, the BJP 41 Tizit A/C further appealed to the law enforcing authority to “thoroughly investigate the incident and book the mastermind involved in the incident and punish as per the provisions of the law in order to avoid such recurrence in future.”
Meanwhile, the BJP unit clarified that no BJP workers or sympathizers were involved as broadcasted by a regional news channel on February 27. “The party appeals to all the news channels/ agencies or media houses not to publish or feed any reports without authenticating from the appropriate authority,” the statement added.
