The railway said the upgraded stations are also expected to boost local trade and commerce, create livelihood opportunities and showcase the cultural and architectural heritage of their respective regions. Initiatives such as One Station One Product will promote indigenous products and local artisans, while the modernised stations are intended to support sustainable development and improved multimodal connectivity.

The completion of the three stations adds to the growing number of railway stations redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme across the NFR network, which is undertaking station modernisation works at multiple locations.
