1. To protect Government Land: Intangki is given to the Govt. of Nagaland by Zeliangrong people for the role purpose of preserving the Forest. The Zeliangrong people have given to the Govt.of Nagaland for the welfare of the Nation. Therefore, the Govt of Nagaland should protect and preserve the forest by all means. If Govt. of Nagaland fails to protect it, it is the weakness of the Govt. particularly the Forest Department of Nagaland. Recently, Innavi Village was evicted by Forest Department of Nagaland. Recently, Innavi Village was evicted by Forest Department and NSCN (IM). After eviction, it is unfortunate that some are coming again to create problems. The ruling and opposition parties should come together in order to protect the Intangki Reserve Forest. If Government cannot protect this Govt. Reserve Forest, the Govt. of Nagaland should give back the land to Zeliangrong people, so that the Zeliangrong people will be able to protect and safeguard the Intangki. If Government cannot protect Government properties then, all the intellectual citizens and patriots of Nagas should seriously ponder and reform Naga Society like the Mizo’s in Mizoram who have boldly stood up for the welfare and development of their land and its people during the last general assembly. We need change in our society and we can make it.
2. To protect De-Forestation: The threat of Global Warming and climate change are effecting everyone of us. We can feel and see the Global Warming and climate change even in our land. Scarcities of water is found everywhere in our land. Ponds and Wells are dried up now in many towns and villages in Nagaland. All these happen because of deforestation in Nagaland. The destruction of Forest possess critical threats to the people. Our only hope is now to reserve forest of Govt. of Nagaland. We have a dark future ahead of us, if this preserve forest are encroached and destroy. Therefore, I call upon Churches, Environmentalists, Ecologists, NGO’s and Social Workesr to fight and protect Intangki Reserve Forest before its too late.
The Churches today are called to confess a new faith and repent for the time when Christian have remain silent in the face of injustice or threat to peace. The Biblical Visions of peace with justice for all is not one of several options of our times.
3. To maintain unity: Intangki is the biggest Reserve Forest in Nagaland, where Natural Resources, Wild Life’s and Forest are preserving for future generation. Therefore, the Naga Hoho should raise its voice and protect Intangki. In Nagas Society there is not an inch of land which does not have an owner. Therefore, the traditional divisions of land in Naga Society should be strictly maintain and protected by Naga Hoho. If the Naga Hoho, the highest body of Naga society is not in a position to protect and safeguard the traditional boundaries of all the Tribe in Naga Society, Nagas will further be divided in future. Naga Hoho should take serious action against the encroacher in Intangki Reserve Forest
