Newmai News Network Imphal, October 14 In a freak incident, three siblings, all minors, died after they were attacked by bees in Noney district (formerly under Tamenglong district) in Manipur on Saturday. Reports reaching here said two of the three siblings died at Nungba Primary Health Centre while the third sibling succumbed on the way to Imphal. Nungba is located some 80 km west of Imphal. According to the report, the three siblings were playing nearby their village Keikru under Nungba police station when the swarm of bees attacked them. Unconfirmed reports said that a catapult pellet from one of the boys hit the beehive perched on a tree after which the bees fatally attacked them. Two of the deceased have been identified as Gaipuidinliu Rongmei, (aged 3 years), and Poudungai Rongmei, (aged 5 years). The identity of the third victim is yet to be ascertained. Parents of the victims have been identified as one Anand (father) and Chamdanthailiu Kamei (mother) of Tajeikaiphun (Keikru Naga village) under Nungba police station in Noney district.
