Thulun village inaugurated in Pungro sub-division

Kiphire, January 27 (MExN):  Thulun village under Pungro sub-division in Kiphire district was inaugurated on January 24. The village which was officially recognized by the Government of Nagaland on November 1, 2011, bifurcated from Zanger village was inaugurated by ADC Pungro Zakabo V Rotokha.

Speaking on the occasion as special guest, Zakabo encouraged the village council and general public to coordinate and work cohesively in every aspect for the common benefit of the society. The ADC appealed the villagers to unite and cooperate with neighboring villages and also with the Administration so that peace, unity and cooperation among the people will prevail. It will bring about development in the village and its area, he stressed.

YTC Executive Chairman Shilimthong while congratulating the villagers called upon the village authority to maintain peace and unity for the better infrastructure in the near future. Musumong, Head GB Pungro town also encouraged the people to affirm for unison among the people. Short speeches were also delivered by Tajingki APRO and Chairman Zanger Village Council. This was stated in a press release from Tsong’s K Yim.

Earlier, special guest unveiled the monolith. The programme was presided over by Asuthong Janger while invocation was pronounced by Pastor, Thulun village. Welcome address was delivered by VCC Thulun village while word of acknowledgment was pronounced by Shuven, GB Thulun village.
