Tikhir council resolves, advises Yimchungers

Dimapur, Dec 1 (MExN): The Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) has informed all concerned that the misunderstanding within the tribe on the ‘reconciliation issue’ which had surfaced at Shamator Town on the  December 20, 1995 has been ‘amicably settled’ for good.

In a press communiqué, Yutsu N and W. Philip Tothing, the President and General Secretary of TTC informed that the council, on September 14 last, dwelling upon the said ‘issue’ discovered that attendants of the ‘reconciliation meeting’ had signed on a plain paper meant to assess attendance which’ were later tampered by YTC so as to make them appear on a ‘fabricated affidavit’ later found to be “two paper sheet joined together”.

TTC further alleged that Yimchungers were trying to create misunderstandings within the Tikhirs by “producing fabricated and false agreements/documents” and thus advised YTC to stop such nefarious propaganda. TTC has called upon its citizens to be alert, at the same time to unite for the up-liftment of the community.
