
Shamator, January 15 (MExN): The Tikhir Students’ Union 43rd Teipo general conference was held from January 11 to 14. The conference concluded with valedictory session which was graced by Dr Tseilhoutou Rhutso, MLA as the valedictory guest.
TSU office in a press release stated Dr Rhutso, in his address, issued a compelling call to action, urging Tikhir students to actively contribute to societal development. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts and encouraged the youth to be proactive agents of positive change. In addition, free health camp was conducted led by the MLA on January 13 where a total of 159 patients were treated, 28 minor operations were performed of which 55 were males and 75 were females.
Earlier, the conference has started with an inaugural ceremony. Delegates from various frontal organisation and federating units of Tikhir student were present, showcasing unity and enthusiasm. Throughout the conference, delegates engaged in meaningful deliberations and discussions on pertinent issues affecting Tikhir students. Topics ranged from educational reforms to community development initiatives, reflecting the commitment of the union to address relevant concerns, TSU stated.
Notable achievements of Tikhir students were recognised during the conference. Awards and commendations were presented to individuals and groups who excelled in academic, sports, and competitive examination endeavors.
Concurrent seminars, games and sports, cultural activities and literary competition were conducted, providing a platform for participants to enhance their skills and knowledge. The sessions covered a wide array of subjects, including Importance of cultural preservation and promotion. The conference featured a musical extravaganza, allowing participants to showcase their talents.
The event was also graced by T Mhabemo Yanthan, IAS, Commissioner, Nagaland as special guest and Chubasanen Ozukum Ao, EAC Kiusam as cultural guest.
TSU office also acknowledged that N Yantsuthong and his family, VCC Pokhur village in commemoration of their 25th marriage anniversary grand feast throughout the conference for all the delegates.
