Dimapur Langpangkong Senso Telongjem celebrates Golden Jubilee
Dimapur, November 23 (MExN): Dimapur Langpangkong Senso Telongjem (DLST) celebrated its 50 years of existence with the theme "Telongjem Ajanga Terenlok" at Senden Reju, Dimapur on November 23.
Minister for PWD, Nagaland, Tongpang Ozukum in his speech congratulated DLST for attaining 50 years and also remembered its founding fathers, stated a DIPR release.
“Jubilee is not only for celebrations but a time for forgiveness, to recollect the past and to make future plans,” he stressed calling for more unity among villages and to take part in developmental activities in Lanpangkong range. Ozukum also released the jubilee souvenir during the programme.
OSD & Additional Secretary (Rtd), Koratemjen Ao who was the main speaker called the people of range for strategic development plans in the range as they are the privileged ones having blessed with plenty of natural resources where people can develop themselves self-sufficiently even without any help from government.
He also shared some ideas to ensure long term sustainable growth and economic development strategy on how land and resources can be utilized to create economic opportunities.
Advisor, Industries and Commerce, NIDC, Imnatiba Jamir MLA called on the gathering to support each other in unity without malice or jealousy. MLA Amenba Yaden urged the DLST to be the trendsetter.
The celebration was also marked by Jubilee greetings, cultural songs, special songs.
Meanwhile, welcome address was delivered by President DLST, K Meyi M Longkumer while concluding remarks was given by Jubilee Planning Board Convenor, K Temjen Jamir and invocation and benediction prayer was pronounced by Pastor DABA, Rev Wati and Pastor Diphupar B Ao Baptist Church, Rev Lanu.
