Kohima, October 29 (MExN): AHoDs and HoDs meeting convened by the Chief Secretary was held at Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima on October 29. During the meeting, Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS observed that “with the situation finally improving, it was time to begin normalizing the functioning of offices at full capacity” and with it, also to address the issue of attendance and punctuality in all the government departments.
He urged all the departments to come up with a proper working system to check the attendance of all government employees and ensure that proper work timings are maintained in all offices, a DIPR report stated here.
Department of P&AR made a brief presentation on the working of PIMS and the recently introduced ePaybill system.
One important agenda discussed during the meeting was the need to have weekly meetings wherein pre-selected departments will present reports of activities undertaken by the respective departments and also discuss important department related matters.
Several other agendas pertaining to the upcoming International Tourism Mart and the Hornbill Festival were discussed during the meeting. Several issues related to delayed pension of retired government servants and the need to bring reforms in the system were also discussed during the meeting.
