Students take part in the Tiranga Yatra 2025 in Kohima on May 23.

Kohima, May 24 (MExN): Tiranga Yatra 2025, a public rally was held to honour the Indian Armed Forces' success in Operation Sindoor in Kohima on May 23.
The rally commenced from Kohima College and culminated at Secretariat Road, featuring a 175-meter-long Indian Tricolour carried by students and National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets.
The Assam Rifles Pipe Band performed patriotic numbers such as Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja and Sare Jahan Se Achha, evoking emotion and national pride among the participants and spectators.
The rally saw participation from Kohima College, TM Government Higher Secondary School, NCC, and personnel of the Assam Rifles.
Nagaland Minister of Tourism and Higher Education Temjen Imna Along led the rally. “This Tiranga Yatra is not just about honoring Operation Sindoor, but also about instilling a deep sense of patriotism among our students and youth,” he stated.
Another highlight of the occasion was the formal appointment of Dr Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Assistant Professor of English at Kohima College, as the Internship Nodal Officer for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP). The appointment was made by Dr Vitsosie Vupru, Principal, Kohima College, recognizing Dr Keditsu’s dedication to academic mentorship and community engagement.
