TL Angami to stand for NGBF president post

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): TL Angami, founder of GB/Village Chief Federation has declared that he will stand for the next NGBF president post and has appealed to the GBs of Nagaland to elect the right leaders for the federation in order to achieve its pending works.

He stated in a press note: “…many District GB Association Leaders in the State are willing to select me as their new President saying that the GBs of the State have full hope in me. And on hearing such good news, I have thoroughly examined about the present situation and I have decided to stand once again for the GBs and its Federation and give my assurance to the present Presidents and Secretaries of the 11 Districts ‘GBs Association of the State and the tribal GB Union Leaders to select me this time as the new President of NGBF for the coming tenure.”

He also assured that if he is selected as the new president of NGBF he will “uplift the GBs Corpus fund and to bring into right direction for the GBs of the State, uplift the Naga Customary Law by strengthening the hands of the GBs for dispose of the cases instantly without any cost, to wipe out the tears from the eyes of the Naga political victims in village level and to assist the Naga leaders in order to bring amicable settlement to the Naga Political issue timely”.
