Phek, May 12 (MExN): The Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Phek unit celebrated International Nurses Day 2014 on May 12 at District Hospital Phek with the theme “Nurses: a force for change - A vital resource for health”.
Rokovotuo-u, staff nurse, spoke on the theme emphasizing that the most effective use of nurses’ resources occur when nurses are able to practice to the fullest extent of their education, training and capabilities. With commitment to education and learning, she shared the need to reinforce how a skilled nurse can transform lives, families, communities and countries and urged everyone to make a difference.
Besides honoring the senior most nurse, awards for the best nurses in 3 disciplines were given to Bino, Roko and Alem which was sponsored by the doctors. A sweeper and two medical attendants were also awarded for their sincerity, informed a press note.
