To Israel with love: NPF goes all milk and honey

Dimapur June 17 (MExN): The NPF, while terming the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between an Israeli company and the Government of Nagaland as a big achievement, has expressed hope that the state would witness progress with the “Israelites' helping hands”.

“When the Israelis can convert their semi-desert country into a land of milk and honey, Nagaland, the God-gifted land with nature’s bounty is expected to become a wondrous land with the Israelites’ helping hands backed by their technical know-how” the NPF stated through R Paphino, Press Secretary of the party.

The NPF related what it called the “Israel connection” of Nagaland which began with the Launching of the mega NE AgriExpo 2006 held at Dimapur, followed by the international AgriTech 2006 at Tel Aviv, Israel where Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio got the opportunity to “showcase” Nagaland in its entirety. “Impressed and convinced, the Israelites have come to Nagaland within a brief span of one month since the triumphant return of Chief Minister of Nagaland” the party stated. The NPF reiterated that the visit is basically to “help” build and develop the people with “unmatchable” advanced technologies particularly in the field of Agriculture and allied sectors.

“On this occasion, the Nagaland People’s Front express its profound thanks to Israel government and its visiting dignitaries for having signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Nagaland. This is indeed a big achievement for our government and the people of Nagaland” the NPF stated while expressing hope that both sides would show sincerity towards expediting the signed MoU.
