Honito Yeptho, Member, Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization (KGPO) was guest of honour in the valedictory session.

Dwelling on the theme, the chief guest said that there has to be hard work, if one is to become a leader of tomorrow. He said to work is not a shame but it is a blessing to achieve success in life. Urging the students to keep away from ‘temptations of bad habits’, which according to him are the main cause of the things that are against well being and progress of  society, the chief guest said that sincerity, dedication, good discipline and respect for elders and parents are very important aspects, which young people require. He urged students to equip themselves with these good values of life and face the challenges of this ever-competitive world.  He also called upon students/children to understand how dear they are to their parents and also the hardships faced by all parents in order to give comfort to them.

He was also of the view that many parents fail to give the right kind of attention to their children. He said responsibilities of parents towards their children are not just paying schools fees, buying good clothes for them, giving them money etc. alone but to inculcate good habits in the minds of children, to monitor them in their studies, play, when with friends and make them understand the good and the bad.  As a token of love and appreciation, the chief guest donated a sum of Rs. 25,000 towards the union, Rs. 5,000 towards the children who presented a folksong and Rs. 2,500 to the mothers’ group that presented a special song.
