Tobu, September 9 (MExN): An excavator meant for the Tobu Town Council (TTC) was dedicated by Tongpang, Pastor Tobu Town Baptist Church at a function held at ADC Office, Tobu on September 9. The excavator was purchased through Basic Grants of Fourteenth Finance Commission, informed a press release from the Extra Assistant Commissioner Tobu, Tsidi.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC & Administrator TTC highlighted the excavator was purchased to with the objective of undertaking development of the town and the sub-division such as clearance of drains, landslides, road maintenance etc, the release said. At the same time, he also informed that it was meant for generate revenue for undertaking various activities by the council and urged the gathering to maintain the property as one’s own and ensure accountability in its dealings.
Host of civil society organisation leaders including Konyak Union (Tobu Unit), Tobu Area Students’ Union, Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (Tobu Unit), Tobu Town Students’ Union attended the function.
