Tohanba visits St. Xavier School

Shamator, May 13 (MExN): Following the declaration of HSLC result, where St. Xavier School in Shamator Town secured 100% pass for the second consecutive year, the MLA of Shamator-Chessore A/C and Parliamentary Secretary for Municipal Affairs, R. Tohanba visited the school on May 12.  

While congratulating the school for the 100% passed result, the MLA said it was a proud moment for all the Shamator subdivision public when such result was not expected due to tense environment in the last two years, a press release informed. He reminded the gathering that the achievement was made possible with sheer hard work and self motivation of the students to excel, supported by dedicated and sincere teachers and staff.  

The release informed that St. Xavier School which started in 2005 with 100 students till UKG at the ADC guest house is presently at a new location with a total enrollment of 1198 students including from neighbouring villages like Pansha. In order to facilitate the stay of those students, the school has made a free makeshift place, it said, adding the only concern is the water scarcity which the MLA assured to look into.
