Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): Tohoi Village under Niuland Sub-division has become the second Tobacco free Village in Dimapur District. This was decided in a joint meeting of the Village Council, Church, GBs and Teachers which was held recently. The objective of the initiative is to make the village a healthier place and also to save the younger generation from Tobacco addiction. The village council will impose a heavy fine on those who sells tobacco products within the village jurisdiction.
Dr C Tetseo, DNO NTCP in a press release congratulated Tohoi village for setting an example and he also makes an appeal to other villages to come forward and adopt Tobacco free norms.
