Wokha, November 4 (MExN): The Lotha Tokhu Emong Mini Hornbill Festival 2022 was launched with a ‘night carnival’ on November 3 at Local Ground, Wokha.
As per a DIPR report, Executive Engineer (Power), Wokha, Er Chonronthung Ezung graced the inaugural function as special guest. About 100 stalls have been set up by different Self Help Groups, Government Departments and local entrepreneurs for the night carnival which will go on for four days.
Speaking during the inaugural function Ezung wished the community prosperity and also urged the Lotha community to allow a sense of forgiveness to prevail among one another as Tokhu Emong signifies forgiveness, love and strengthening the relationship within the community.
The four day long festival will witness various indigenous games, folk dances, folk songs and modern Lotha songs. On the final day, November 7, MLA Imkong L Imchen will attend the event as the special guest, the report stated.
