
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 27 (MExN): The second bi-annual meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Dimapur, took place at the Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC & S) on October 25.
A press release issued by Education Officer for Commandant, Col Rajesh Katoch informed that the meeting was chaired by Brigadier Raman Sharma, Sena Medal, and attended by 22 representatives from various Central Government offices, banks, and undertakings located in Dimapur.
Col Rajesh Katoch, Secretary of TOLIC, opened the meeting with a welcome address while a detailed briefing was delivered by Parmod Kumar Singh Rathore, Hindi Translator, Grade-II at ARTC & S. Participants shared feedback on the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in their respective offices, highlighting both successes and challenges in implementing the official language.
Brigadier Sharma emphasized the significance of promoting Hindi within Central Government offices, urging members to actively implement the policies outlined by the Government of India regarding the official language.
He encouraged a culture of motivation and incentives to enhance the use of Hindi, reinforcing the importance of participation from all TOLIC members to maximize the meeting's effectiveness.
The meeting concluded with a session for valuable suggestions and feedback, which were addressed by the Chairman. The session wrapped up with a vote of thanks, marking the successful closure of the biannual meeting.
