Tongpang Ozukum assures to stand by people and work for them

Independent candidate for 24 Angetyongpang A/C, Tongpang Ozukum declared his candidature in different villages under the constituency on February 17.  

Tongpang Ozukum, former Naga Students’ Federation president, hailing from Mongsenyimti village, is one of the youngest candidates contesting in the forthcoming 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election.  

He declared his candidature, his agendas and manifestoes for the constituency and Nagaland, during his declaration programmes at Yaongyimti Old, Yaongyimti New, Phasang Town and Longkong villages.  

Tongpang, in his speeches, earnestly appealed the electorates of 24 Angetyongpang A/C to give him a chance to represent them at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.  

He said that he is contesting to root out corruption and be a part of the change that the Naga people desperately aspire for. 

While pointing out the pertinent basic needs like road, water supply and electricity, Tongpang said that given the chance, “I will do it.”  

The candidate said ‘the seat’ for the constituency is mandated by God only, and whoever wins from the constituency will be as per the will of the Lord.  

In this connection, Tongpang declared that if elected, he will never sell off the great honour of representing the people. He assured to “stand by the people” and work for the people.  

Others who spoke at the declaration programmes were ex MLA Limatemjen, Council chairman of Mongesenyimti Village Council and others.
