Y. Patton and Achumbemo Kikon during the inauguration of Tongti village on November 7

Tongti village under Yanmhon area of Bhandari Assembly Constituency in Wokha district was inaugurated today by Achumbemo Kikon, MLA and Chairman SDPDB Bhandari in the presence of Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton.
In his address, Kikon shared the developmental initiatives undertaken within Bhandari A/C.
He was accompanied by Peter Lichamo, IAS, Rtd. Home Secretary, and Renphamo Kikon, Rtd. Additional Director, Agriculture Department.
The Monolith stone was dedicated by Rev. Fr. George Antony, Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church, Bhandari Town.
Later, Patton graced Tokhü Emong celebrations and emphasised the importance of unity and forgiveness.
Mathew Humtsoe, president, YAPO exhorted the gathering while Tachow Lotha, Chairman, BTLH, highlighted the significance of Tokhü Emong.
Samuel Mozhui from Longjung Village invoked God’s blessings. Liphi Village Cultural troupe performed cultural dance while special number was presented by Yantsuthung Yanthan.
The program was led by Thungdemo Tungoe, Chairman, Ruchan Village Council while vote of thanks was pronounced by Chenirao Khenchung, Ex-President, YAPO.
