DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) on Friday informed that the Defence Secretary, Lovejoy K Zimik and Publcity Secretary, Tamrei K Zimik @ L. Zimik belonging to the Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) has surrendered before the NSCN authority on August 8 and 18 respectively on tjeir own violition.
According to a press release issued by the MIP, NSCN (IM), the two former MNPF member claimed that the party is being used by the banned Meitei group, People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and civil society organizations and the sole purpose of its existence was “to disrupt and demean the ongoing ndo-Naga political talk.”
The two have “sought forgiveness from the Nagas in general and the NSCN in particular and asked to be given a chance to prove his worth to work for the Naga nation” through the GPRN, the press release stated.
