Topper Metseivilie Seyie gets sponsorship

Kohima, May 18 (DIPR): Metseivilie Seyie, student of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, who secured the first rank among toppers of HSSLC 2016 (Science stream), was honoured and given sponsorship for his college by the Government Registered Nagaland Contractors & Supplies’ Union (GRNC&SU) on May 17.   GRNC&SU President, Seyiekuolie Kesiezie said that Metseivilie had secured the top position despite his difficult background. Metseivilie had also secured 9th position in the HSCL examinations in 2014 from Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School. He plans to pursue higher education in Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, therefore GRNC&SU has decided to sponsor his education till completion of B.Sc in recognition of his outstanding performance despite all odds, Seyiekuolie stated.  

General Secretary NBCC, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, who was also present at the program held at GRNC&SU president’s office, encouraged Metseivilie to continue working hard and keep the faith in God and also to stay focused with humility. Pointing out that a lot of people have put their trust and faith in him, Dr. Keyho told Metseivilie not to fail them and to bear fruit. He also challenged Metseivilie to help people, like him, who need assistance and guidance in the coming future as well.   The NBCC General Secretary further lauded the contractors’ union for coming forward and supporting the society. He also blessed Metseivilie with a prayer.   GRNC&SU Advisor, KC Angami handed Metseivilie the sponsorship amount of Rs 1.5 lakh on behalf of the union.
