Kiphire, February 14 (MExN): Five former candidates from Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency – Torechu’s constituency – has extended support to the sitting MLA and pledged to work whole-heartedly for his victory and towards bringing all-round development to the area, according to a press release from NPF Press Bureau.
At a felicitation function held at Khongsa EAC Headquarter on February 13, R Tsapikiu Sangtam (RJD ex-candidate), Makhe (BJP ex-candidate), Thsentsumong (Independent ex-candidate), K Yasangwu (Independent ex-candidate), and Soley (BJP ex-candidate) extended their support to the NPF candidate Torechu and declared to work for him for the betterment of the constituency, the release stated.
The NPF press note claimed that Torechu has been widely appreciated in the area for bringing maximum development and progress in the constituency in the last three terms he has represented in the Assembly. Torechu expressed happiness with the support extended to him by the prominent leaders of the area and exuded confidence that he would win hands down with their support, the release added.
