Toshipokba files nomination papers as NPF candidate

Mokokchung, April 18 (DIPR): Toshipokba filed his nomination papers as NPF candidate for the forthcoming bye-election to 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency as filing of nomination papers for the bye-election ended today, the 18th April 2011. He filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer, Lithrongla G. Chishi at DC’s conference Hall. Alempokba also filed his nomination papers as substitute candidate for the NPF. After filing their nomination papers, both the candidates took oath before the Returning Officer.
Nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at DC’s conference hall tomorrow, 19th April 2011. Electoral battle for the prestigious Assembly Constituency in Nagaland state will thus witness straight contest between Indian National Congress (INC) candidate S.C. Jamir and the ruling Naga People’s Front (NPF) candidate Toshipokba.
