Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The State Power Department has informed of the total disruption of power supply to Mon and Longleng districts and Tuli sub-division.

The disruption was reportedly caused by an uprooted tree falling on the transmission line as a result of heavy storm and lightning.

The 66kV Mokokchung-Tuli-Naganimora-Tizit-Mon S/C transmission line was badly damaged between Mokokchung-Tuli on September 21, Er Nribemo Mozhui, Chief Engineer (T&G) Department of Power, Nagaland informed in a press release on September 22.

“Inspite of the inclement weather and difficult terrain conditions, the department is making all efforts to restore the said transmission line at the earliest,” Mozhui said.

Regretting the inconvenience, especially to the student community, the department requested everyone concerned to bear with it.
