Total lockdown in Aboi from August 4 to 10

Mon, August 4 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS in an order has notified the enforcement of a total lockdown from August 4 till 10 in Aboi subdivision under Mon District with the following conditions:

•    Movement of public is strictly prohibited except in medical emergencies.
•    Movement of private vehicles is strictly prohibited.
•    All business/commercial establishments and shops shall remain closed. Pharmacies are exempted.
•    Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals.
•    No movement will be permitted in or out of Aboi Sub-Division.

The DC Mon in an order stated that the total lockdown has been enforced in light of certain emerging circumstances and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19. People are requested to comply with this order. Any person found violating this order will be penalised under relevant provisions of the law.

DC Mon informs on truck movement
Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has stated that all trucks coming from Assam carrying essential commodities will be permitted to enter Mon District only on Wednesday and Friday i.e. August 5 and 7. The samples of the drivers and handymen will be collected for RT-PCR Testing at Tizit before proceeding to Mon. Any persons found violating this order will be penalised under provisions of the law.
