Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, on July 31 had notified that the total lockdown of the Kohima Municipal Area under Kohima Sadar Jurisdiction has been further extended for a period of 7 days with effect from August 1 till August 7.
The extension has been necessitated by the recent surge in the COVID-19 positive cases in the district outside the quarantine centres, the DC’s order informed.
The new order is in continuation of the order passed on July 23 and as per the decision of the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima during its emergency meeting on July 31. All the provisions of the total lockdown order as given on July 23 will be in force, the DC’s order stated.
