TotPro Play School opens in Wokha

A new chapter in early childhood education began in Wokha with the inauguration of TotPro Play School at Saron Colony, Wokha on February 17. The school was formally inaugurated by Vineet Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Wokha.

TotPro, a Delhi-based franchise, integrates educational practices inspired by Finland, Singapore, Japan, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. With a curriculum centred on smart teaching techniques and play-based learning, the institution seeks to build a strong educational foundation for toddlers through adequate teaching aids and a structured learning environment.

Addressing the gathering, the DC Wokha commended the vision and commitment of the proprietors in establishing a competitive institution in the district. He underlined the importance of foundational education in a child’s overall development and noted that such initiatives create valuable opportunities for both children and parents. 

K Edward Ngullie, President, ANPSA Wokha unit, in his address highlighted the dedication required to run an educational institution and stressed that perseverance and determination are essential for achieving excellence. He remarked that quality education remains fundamental to developing a skilled and capable workforce.

The programme commenced with a dedication prayer offered by Rev Khonbemo P Kikon, former executive secretary of LBCA. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by the Deputy Commissioner. T Thungchibemo Lotha, administrator and headmaster of the school, delivered the welcome address and chaired the event, while Orenbomo Lotha, chairman of TotPro Play School Wokha, proposed the vote of thanks. The benediction was pronounced by Lijano Ezung, associate director of CNY, WTBC.
