Tourists delight in vibrancy of Hornbill Festival

The 24th Hornbill Festival 2023, which entered 9th day today at Kisama has evoked thunderous response from tourists.

Visiting Hornbill Festival for first time, Prakash Padukone commented in the visitor’s book as “Extremely satisfied with our visit.

 Very impressive. More than what I had expected. Indeed a memorable experience.”

Rupshree Boruah from Assam said, “It is a very beautiful place. We enjoyed a lot.”

Manash Jyoti Bora, also from Assam stated, “I am so excited to see all the traditional as well as custom.”

“Hornbill festival delighted me and my family. Especially, the weather is awesome. Cultural programme was very much fantastic,” commented Mohammad Imtiyaz from Dimapur.

Jucaville from California, USA commented “Our first trip to India. Really enjoyed cultural show.”

Expressing happiness over visiting Hornbill Festival, Arun Kumar from Uttar Pradesh penned, “We will surely come again.”

Dr. Gauma Singh from Delhi commented “Excellent event. Musical event is very vibrant. Privileged to be here. Nagaland people are very courteous. Just loving the state.”

“Very good festival. Amazing food and friendly people... We are planning to visit next year as well,” said Nisha and Uddhar from Assam.

1,25, 349 Hornbill Fest visitors till Dec 9
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Tourism informed that the ongoing 24th Hornbill Festival 2023 at Kisama registered 1,25,349 visitors till December 9. Out of this, 2015 are foreign tourists, 32,057 are domestic tourists and 91,277 are local visitors from Nagaland. 

On Saturday (December 9), 16,210 visitors have been registered with 11,784 local visitors from Nagaland, 4,369 domestic tourists and 57 foreign tourists, according to day-wise tourist statistics provided by the Directorate of Tourism.
