Tovihoto calls for brotherhood

Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi called upon various communities inhabiting Dimapur to coexist as brothers and live in peace and tranquillity.
He said there was absence of any sort of discrimination in the state where everyone is equal and “we must all coexist in a harmonious manner.”
The Advisor was speaking at the opening ceremony programme of Bihari Cricket Premier League at Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School ground, Dimapur on Tuesday.
The League is being organized by Nagaland Bihari Samaj in memory of Late Shankar Prasad Sharma. He observed that by organizing the event in honour of their leader, the Bihari community exhibited high regards for its leaders.
Tovihoto said a sizeable number of Bihari community was settled in various nook and corners of Nagaland engaged in various businesses and jobs. He acknowledged that the Biharis have provided their services to the people of the state in many forms such as saloon, labour, mason and various other forms of business. “In fact, many of the services provided by the Bihari community are something which the Naga people were not keen to engage in although such services were in need,” he observed.
He urged upon the community to continue rendering their services to the people of the state and earn livelihood at the same time.
He also encouraged the young people to exhibit discipline and reflect the colour of their true sportsmanship during the event.
