DIMAPUR: Parliamentary Secretary for IT&C, Science & Technology, Technical Education and Taxes, Tovihoto Ayemi on Saturday inaugurated GMS building at Tsithrongse village.
Speaking at the programme, Tovihoto said it was the collective responsibility of both teachers and parents in imparting education to a child and that they should work in close coordination with each other.
“Both the teacher and parent play an equally important role in the upbringing of a child,” he said. He pointed out that there was teachers’ negligence prevailing in many places and said that such practices hampering the education of a child should be stopped.
Tovihoto also said that the school authority, school management committee should also come forward in making the schools progress instead of always waiting for the government and relegating the responsibility to it.
ADC (SSA) Dimapur, Freda Angami, head GB Tsithrongse of Tsithrongse village and others also spoke at the program.
