In view of the upcoming 25th Hornbill Festival 2024, Toyota today announced to continue as presenter of the Hornbill Music Festival 2024.
This Toyota Hornbill Music Festival dubbed as India’s biggest music festival, will take place from December 1 to 10 at Main Arena, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama near Kohima.
Toyota has been the presenter of the Hornbill Music Festival since 2022 and this year will be its third year as a presenter, said Y. Vikheho Swu, Managing Director, Okusa Toyota, Nagaland.
Addressing a press conference today at Toyota showroom Kohima, Swu commended the vision of Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in carrying out his efforts and fulfilling the dreams of the Naga youths in various fields.
He also lauded Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister for initiating various steps to scale up the talents of the Naga youths.
Swu applauded Theja Meru, chairman Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) and his team over the years in promoting Naga musicians at the different stages across the world.
Further, he thanked Nagaland’s tourism & higher education minister Temjen Imna Along and tourism department officials for its broad minded, inclusive and accommodative approach, thereby enabling Toyota to sponsor a permanent structure (a three-storey building) at Kisama. “This space will act as a place to further promote the talent of our youth throughout the year,” he said.
He asserted that Toyota is taking an active role in promoting the talents of the Naga youth, especially in the field of music.
Meanwhile, Swu announced that Ruopfuzhano Whiso, 4th Runner-Up Miss Universe India 2024 will be the ambassador for Toyota Hornbill Music Festival 2024. “Toyota has chosen her because she embodies the dream and aspirations of our Naga youths,” he said.
Subscribing that music has such a powerful tool that helps connect people across the world, Whiso looks forward to exciting musical performances from various parts of the world in this upcoming Toyota Hornbill Music Festival 2024.
