Tadubi, July 5 (MExN): The Tribal People’s Organisation of Manipur while paying “heartfelt homage” to the late NSCN Chairman, Isak Chishi Swu, has hit out at the Government of India’s policy towards the Naga political issue. Terming it a “See off” policy, TPOM in a condolence message, stated that many dedicated Naga leaders have passed away under the policy. Sadly, this same policy of “Let Isak and Muivah age old and pass away” is being in action here today, the TPOM stated. The Nagas are well aware and understand this fact, it added. Mentioning that the promise to bring a permanent peace settlement to the Naga political solution within a timeframe of 18 months had elapsed, the TPOM questioned the Government of India if the corpse of late Swu was the solution promised. Saluting Swu, TPOM stated that the late leader had a “unique principle” to enlighten the rights of the Naga people throughout the globe. The organisation further extended condolences to the family and prayed that the almighty grant the departed soul eternal peace.
