Traders Road Business Association Kohima formed

Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Traders Road Business Association, Kohima (TRBAK) comprising of commercial establishments from Y Junction till Razhü Point at Kohima has been formally launched on August 28 at Hotel Crescent International (Old NST), Kohima.

The Association in a press release stated that concerned business establishments and commercial building owners along the stretch of road has for long felt the need to form a association to look into the welfare, interest and difficulties faced by businesses along this road. “However, the issue had been kept on hold for years taking into consideration various factors,” it stated.

TRBAK noted that businesses all over Kohima municipality are represented by trade unions and supported by community based organizations in their respective localities. Only businesses located along this particular ‘traders road’ or ‘main town’ of Kohima so far had no union to promote their welfare and take up their grievances, it mentioned. 

Commercial building owners and business establishments, therefore, on August 28 met and assigned Peter Rutsa, Keluongutuo Solo, Kekhriezhazo Mepfhu-o and Keneikhrselle Mepfhuo as Convener, Co-convener, Secretary and Treasurer to take forward the decisions and begin the modalities to make TRBAK a fully functional and effective trade union.
