DRDA Wokha project Director, Hilo Semp along with DRDA officials and village folks after the inauguration of the 45/12 sq ft beautifully designed with traditional style and design marketing shed at Tsungiki village under Wokha district on Saturday.
Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): In a quest to boost marketing and economic growth under BDO Tsungiki village under Wokha district, the DRDA Wokha on Saturday inaugurated about 45/12 sq ft beautifully designed with traditional style and design marketing shed for the benefit of the 6 surrounding villages. The marketing shed bazaar -1, Tsungiki village under SGSY infrastructure scheme was inaugurated by DRDA Wokha Project Director, Hilo Semp accompanied by hosts of DRDA and block officials.
Speaking on the inaugural function, DRDA Wokha Project Director, Hilo Semp described Tsungiki marketing shed bazaar -1 as an important wayside marketing facility, which would not only benefit the Tsungiki villagers but also the other five surrounding villages in the area. Stating that the Tsungiki wayside marketing facility was the 18th wayside marketing shed on NH 61, he urged the villagers to come up with innovating ideas with respect to marketing and packaging of products and to create an identity for themselves which would attract the customers. He said that the wayside marketing shed was specially meant for various self help groups and individuals to exports their vegetable products in order to uplift their economic status, which in turn would help improvement in their standard of living.
Hilo Semp also entrusted the marketing facility safeguard and maintenance to the VDB and the village council members of Tsungiki village. He also asked the villagers to formulate rules and regulations so the wayside marketing facility is not misused. Semp also said that the department would assess quarterly with respect to the profit earning through the marketing shed facility provided by the department.
Earlier, Block Development Officer (BDO) Akumenla Aier chaired the entire programme, while Rev. R Ngullie Pastor Tsungiki village invoke God’s blessing before the inaugural function. Tsungiki Women cultural club graced the gathering with special number. Others who spoke on the occasion include Head GB, W. Ngullie and vote of thanks by Tsungiki Ex Chairman. The function also witness handling over of the bond to the village council chairman and to the VDB secretary.
