KOHIMA, DECEMBER 3 (MExN): In view of the 25th Hornbill stone pulling ceremony on December 4, the Kohima Police has notified that the Kohima - Mao National Highway-2 stretch from Jakhama military station to Kisama heritage village (2nd gate) shall remain closed from 8:30 AM - 1 PM. To ensure smooth conduct of the stone pulling ceremony, all vehicles (passengers) coming from Manipur will be diverted via Viswema - Kidima prayer park - Kezocha - Chakhabama – New Secretariat – Meriema - IG stadium - T. Khel model road and vice versa for Manipur bound vehicles coming from Dimapur side during the stone pulling ceremony.
NST shuttle bus coming from Kohima will continue to operate whereas shuttle bus service from Kigwema to Kisama shall remain suspended during the stone pulling ceremony. Kohima Police has requested the cooperation and support from all citizens.
