Traffic advisory for Hornbill Night Carnival

The Kohima Police has issued the following traffic arrangements which will be enforced during the Hornbill Night Carnival from December 1 to 10: 

1. No vehicle will be allowed to park along the road on the right side from ‘Y’ junction till Post Office. However, single parking will be allowed on the left side at Old Taxi parking area, Old NST only. All vehicles are to be parked at Old MLA Hostel Complex. Further, parking facilities will also be available at Old Medical Multi-Level Car parking opposite Popular Bakery, PR Hill.

2. No vehicle will be allowed to park along the route from Northern Gate of Local Ground till Razhu Point. Any vehicle found parked at the above mentioned area will be towed away and towing charge will be levied from the vehicle owners.

3. The road from ‘Y’ junction till Razhu Point will be one way down only. No vehicle will be allowed to enter from Razhu Point towards Khouchiezie (Kohima Local Ground) and from Congress Bhavan towards ‘Y’ junction.

4. The up-going vehicle will ply the normal route through ‘D’ Block.

These traffic regulations will be enforced from 4:00 pm till the night carnival and bazaar is over. The general public and vehicle users are requested to extend their co-operation to Kohima Traffic Police while enforcing the above traffic advisory.
