Traffic Advisory issued in Mkg ahead of Forest Guard test

Mokokchung, July 6 (MExN): The Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Nagaland, has issued a traffic advisory in view of the upcoming Physical Endurance Test for the post of Forest Guards under the Department of Forest, Mokokchung Division.

The advisory, issued on July 5 by the Additional Superintendent of Police and Public Relations Officer, informed that the endurance test will be conducted from July 7 to 9, 2025, between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The route for the test will begin from the Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Playground in Ungma and extend till Gate Alichen, covering the stretch from Longkhum-Alichen junction.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the recruitment process and the safety of candidates and officials involved, the public and motorists using the route during the test hours have been urged to exercise extreme caution.

“Approach blind curves and turnings slowly while exercising extreme caution,” the advisory stated. It further directed all commuters to avoid parking vehicles along the designated route during the test period.

Additionally, the public has been requested to maintain a safe distance from the participants and recruitment officials to prevent any disruptions.

“For any assistance, kindly approach the officials on duty,” the statement added.

The office of the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Mokokchung, meanwhile announced that the Physical Endurance Test for the Forest Guard Recruitment 2025 will be held from July 7 to 9, beginning at 5:00 AM daily. The test is scheduled to take place at the Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) playground in Ungma village, Mokokchung district.

According to the DFO, shortlisted candidates for the Forest Guard posts in Mokokchung district are required to report at the venue by 4:30 AM for verification and briefing. The Physical Endurance Test will involve a walking event that begins from the main gate of Senayangba GHSS and will follow a designated route. A QR code will be made available for candidates to scan and view the detailed route and milestones.

Candidates have been instructed to wear suitable attire and footwear for long-distance walking and to carry valid ID proof, admit card, water bottles, and personal medication, if necessary. Officials stated that strict compliance with instructions issued by Forest Department personnel will be mandatory.

The names of candidates who qualify in the Physical Endurance Test will be published on the notice board of the Divisional Forest Office and will also be made available on the Department's official website.

The written examination for qualified candidates has been scheduled for July 12 (Saturday) and will be held at Mangyangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The exam gate will open at 9:00 AM and close at 9:45 AM.

In view of the early morning movement of candidates through village roads and forest paths during the test hours (4:30 AM to 9:00 AM), the Forest Department has appealed to the public for cooperation and understanding. Residents of Ungma and Longkhum villages and daily commuters in the area are requested to exercise caution during the testing period.
