Longleng, April 13 (MExN): Traffic awareness seminar was organized by Longleng Police in collaboration with drivers union Longleng at the Superintendent of Police conference hall in Longleng on April 13.
A DIPR report stated that Dr Pritpal Kaur Betra, IPS, SP Longleng spoke on the traffic etiquette, Motor Vehicle Act 1988, requirements of documents, following traffic rules, not using mobile/drinking while driving, etc. She said that driving a vehicle has a big responsibility to ensure safety and everyone should follow traffic rules, and help in golden hour as a Good Samaritan.
I Bunglang Chang, NPS, SDPO Longleng spoke on Traffic Offense (MV Act 1988), ASI Limatemjen, I/C, traffic cell Longleng, taught Traffic rules and signs, and Dr Waulong, Phom District Hospital Longleng demonstrated on first aid.
The programme was attended by the District Drivers Union Longleng, Taxi Union Longleng, All Wards' representatives, drivers, students, police cadets, and medical department. It was followed by free medical checkups by District Hospital Longleng and helmets were given to the bike riders.
