Kohima/Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): There will be new traffic regulations during the Hornbill Night Bazaar in Kohima from December 1 to 10. No vehicle will be allowed to park along the road on the right side from ‘Y’ junction till Post Office, informed a press release from Vekhosa Chakhesang, NPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Kohima. However, single parking will be allowed on the left side, it added. The road from Northern Gate of Local Ground till Razhü Point will be ‘No Parking’ zone on both sides. Any vehicle found parked at the above mentioned area will be towed away and towing charge will be levied from the vehicle owners, according to the release. The road from ‘Y’ junction till Razhü Police Point will be one way down only. No vehicle will be allowed to enter from Razhü Police Point towards Khouchiezie (Kohima Local Ground) and from Congress Bhavan towards ‘Y’ junction. The above traffic regulation will be enforced from 4:00 pm till the Night Carnival/Bazaar is over, from December 1 to 10. Meanwhile, entry of heavy vehicles to Kohima Town will be restricted from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm during the ten days. The general public and vehicle users have been requested to extend their cooperation to Kohima Traffic Police while enforcing the above traffic advisory. Dimapur Traffic Police informs Dimapur Traffic Police has also issued traffic regulations in view of the upcoming festive season. The below traffic rules will be in effect from December 1 to 21 from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, informed a press release from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur today. It said that the Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur ground is allotted as parking area. All vehicles have been directed to park only in the allotted area. The parking and security of the vehicles will be looked after by the Eden Charity Club, for which, nominal parking fee will be levied – Rs. 20 (0-6 hours) and Rs. 40 (6 hours and above). The release informed that only single parking will be allowed along the road side. Vehicles owners/drivers will be responsible for safety of the vehicles and have been advised to keep watch at all times. Further, it warned that vehicles parked in ‘No Parking’ zones will be towed away and the owners of such vehicles will be ticketed as per law.
