Training on advanced cyber forensics for NE police underway

Kohima, May 11 (MExN): The training on ‘Advanced cyber forensics for NE police officials representing from Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland commenced from May 11. The training has been organized & conducted by NIELIT Kohima under the sponsorship of Department of Electronics & IT, Ministry of Communications &IT Government of India.  

The inaugural programme was marked by an introductory session followed by the keynote address from Er. L. Lanuwabang, Director i/c, NIELIT Kohima.  He highlighted the objectives of the program while also giving an overview of how NIELIT Kohima is assisting the law enforcement agencies in solving cybercrime cases through the NIELIT cyber forensics lab.   The visiting special dignitary Rupin Sharma IPS, ADGP, PHQs, Nagaland appreciated the effort made by NIELIT Kohima in imparting much needed trainings for the law enforcement agencies in today’s IT-driven world.  He emphasis to embrace  IT as the tools to combat the modern day crimes accompanied by valuable inputs, suggestions and constructive criticisms mainly conducive to the primary law-enforcement agencies.
