Training on bio pesticides and its application on Feb 21-22

Kohima: Nagaland Science and Technology council (NASTEC) Kohima in collaboration with Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR) Bengaluru will be organising farmers training programme on Application on Biopesticides on February 21 and 22 at various locations of the state.  The training programme will start on February 21 at 9:00 am at the Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur, where Parliamentary Secretary for IT & Communication, Science and Technology and Taxes, Tovihoto Ayemi has consented to grace the inaugural programme as the chief guest.

Interested progressive farmers would be invited for the training and the registered and trained farmers will be provided with Bio pesticide (Microbial Consortia) which is formulated with indigenous microbial bio-agents.

The training schedule are as follows: Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur on February 21 at 9:00 am; Kidima (Vegetable village) Kohima on February 21 at 3:00 pm; and Pfutsero Town  on February 22 at 11:00 am. The training programme is jointly organised by NASTEC, Kohima and IIHR Bangaluru and sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi under the project “Popularization and Dissemination of Technology of Bio- Pesticide formulation among the farmers in North East region.”
