Training on Eri silk spinning through Motorized Spinning Machine

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): A four day skill development training programme on Eri silk spinning through Motorized Spinning Machine (MSM) was conducted at Chiechama village from August 30 to September 2.  

The training was jointly organised by the DPDB Adoption Committee A/C 11-Northern Angami-2 and Department of Sericulture as a part of activity of the Committee, stated a press release.  

Dr. Neiprhezo Keditsu, Chairman NSMDC Ltd also Advisor to the adoption committee graced the valedictory session as the chief guest. He expressed his gratitude to the adoption committee and Sericulture Department for introducing a new trade to the village farmers. He encouraged and advised the farmers to develop the culture of practicing their skills and utilize the machines judiciously in generating more income.  

Total of 16 beneficiaries from 8 khels of the village took part in the training and 10 numbers of Motorized Spinning Machines (MSM) were distributed by the Chief Guest to the farmers. The programme was chaired by M. Meyase DSO Kohima. Ruopfűkuotuo EAC Botsa (Convenor Adoption Committee) gave the welcome address and Neitso Sogotsu, VCC Chiechama pronounced the vote of thanks.
