Training for farmers held in Tuli

Mokokchung, October 20 (MExN): Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuli block in Mokokchung district, conducted training, promotion of food security group, mobilization and capacity building of FIG on October 17 and 18. 

On the first day, ATMA official conducted promotion of Merasen food security group in Luyong village. During the programme, production of cabbage and proper method for preparation of nursery bed was demonstrated. Mobilization of Longjemer Self Help Group in Longpong ward, Tuli were emphasised on oilseeds production.

On October 18, the team conducted training on winter vegetable crops in Luyong village. During the programme, farmers were trained on proper nursery bed preparation, importance of proper spacing and on insect and pests management.  The resource persons were Imlisunep Ajem, BTM and Shilunokdang ATM, ATMA Tuli. Altogether 19 farmers attended the programme.
