Training for DCs, Election Officers from June 29-30

Kohima, June 24 (MExN): In view of the forth coming General Election to the Legislative Assembly of Nagaland in 2023, the Election Commission of India has mandated the conduct of ‘Face-to-Face Training’ for all the Deputy Commissioners and District Election Officers (DEOs) in Nagaland.

In this connection, Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer V Shashank Shekhar informed on Friday that nine resource persons from the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM)/Election Commission of India will impart the training on June 29 and 30 at the Conference Hall of Commissioner Office, Nagaland. The CEO Nagaland V Shashank Shekhar will be inaugurating the training programme.

The topics of the training sessions will include Law & Order, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) & Paid News, District Election Management Plan (DEMP) /Booth Level Election Management Plan (BEMP), Vulnerability Mapping, IT applications, Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), Model Code of Conduct, Expenditure Monitoring and Accounts on Election Expenditure, the CEO informed.
