Training held for Anganwadi workers

Kohima, July 17 (MExN): Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project Kohima (U) conducted refreshers training for Anganwadi workers at Upper Chandmari Panchayat hall from July 11 to 16. Altogether, 99 Anganwadi workers attended the training held in two batches from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.  

Anyile Khamo, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO); Alice, Supervisor; Avibu, Supervisor; and Anino, Supervisor were the resource persons. They covered the following topics: Role and job responsibilities of Anganwadi workers; Maintenance of 11(Eleven) M.I.S Registers and MPR; Growth monitoring and plotting; Pre-school education and SN; Community participation; Early childhood care and education; IGMSY and Sabla; Services of ICDS; Practical classes on Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) and preparation of low cost materials.  

A press release from CDPO Anyile Khamo informed that Keviseyiezo Vizo, DPO Kohima also visited during the training and advised both the batches of Anganwadi workers to be sincere and dedicated in their duties. Ahelie Theyo, Chairman, Upper Chandmari also visited and encouraged the Anganwadi workers and also assured to give support and cooperation to the Department.  

On the last day, an exclusive feedback class was held. The release said that the training came to a successful conclusion with the active participation and positive feedback from Anganwadi workers.
